We produce the top-ranked weekly personal finance podcast Money for the Rest of Us—which has over 50,000 weekly listeners—and operate Money for the Rest of Us Plus, a multimedia investment education platform with over 1,200 members.

The Money for the Rest of Us Affiliate Program
Our affiliate program allows you to directly benefit from building a community of like-minded investors helping each other succeed on their investment journey.
Using our custom affiliate links and content, partners earn commission on each referred sale of monthly, annual, or lifetime memberships, as well as on select premium courses. Commissions are broken down into the following amounts:
- Annual Membership: $200 flat commission earned after the referred member has stayed beyond the 30-day refund period*
- Lifetime Membership: $200 flat commission earned after the referred member has stayed beyond the 30-day refund period*
- Monthly Membership: Percentage-based commission for the first three months of a renewed $50/month membership (1st month = 90%, 2nd = 90%, 3rd = 20%), totalling $100 if the referred member stays the full three months
- Courses: 30% commission per course purchase
*Upgrades from monthly memberships to annual or lifetime, or from annual to lifetime memberships, are not included in our affiliate earnings program.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can anyone be a Money for the Rest of Us affiliate partner?
A: For the most part, yes! As long as you live in the United States, we are accepting partner applications from anyone interested. In accordance with our Affiliate Agreement, we do reserve the right to refuse an application or revoke a partnership for any reason. Unfortunately we cannot support affiliate partners outside of the United States at this time.
Can current Money for the Rest of Us Plus members be an affiliate partner?
A: Of course! And we hope you will be. We know that our community gets better as it grows and we want our current members to earn an additional benefit by continuing to build our platform together.
How do affiliate links work?
A: Affiliate links are custom web links that include IDs for each affiliate partner. These links store a cookie, a small file including your affiliate ID, in the visitor’s web browser. This allows us to track where a sale came from and attribute the referral to you. Our affiliate cookies are good for 60 days, after which they expire automatically. This means that if someone clicks your affiliate link to our website, leaves the site, but comes back and joins Money for the Rest of Us anytime within 60 days on the same device, you will still be able to earn a commission from that sale. How will I get paid?
A: Our payments will be delivered via PayPal and are processed once a quarter. You can expect payments at the beginning of the quarter following a referral earning you a commission. Our quarters are:
Q1: January–March
Q2: April–June
Q3: July–September

How can I make an account and what information is required to do so?

You will need to provide your name and email address, as well as tell us a little more about your affiliate plans as part of the application. If you are accepted to the program, we will also need to collect your home or business address and US Tax ID for tax purposes. You will also need to agree to and sign our Affiliate Agreement. What is my tax liability for affiliate earnings?
A: You are responsible for appropriately recording your affiliate income on your tax return. You can learn more about affiliate marketing taxes here. Our affiliate commissions are securely paid out via PayPal. As a third-party merchant, PayPal sends out IRS Form 1099-K to affiliates who make more than $600 in a year on commissions.
